Jonathan is a highly-experienced Sales & Marketing professional with an extensive board-level career across multiple consumer goods sectors and markets.

His career began at Mars UK with national sales roles across ambient and frozen foods.  Commercial leadership roles followed in the high-innovation Food to Go sector, including at Adelie Foods where Jonathan delivered significant category growth with Costa Coffee, Boots and Sainsbury’s.

Jonathan has held several executive and board-level roles during his career, including Customer Marketing, Sales, Innovation and Marketing Director positions in Allied Bakeries (ABF), Elisabeth the Chef, and Plum Baby.  Notable successes during this time included several profitable turnarounds and leading the relaunch of a Top 10 UK Grocery Brand (Kingsmill).

His role as International Marketing Director for Premier Foods yielded exciting ‘challenger’ initiatives, including International market entry and growth projects for several of Premier Foods’ key brands, including Sharwoods and Mr. Kipling.

In 2016, Jonathan launched his own boutique consultancy, outfromthecrowd, supporting both Challenger Brands, SMEs and corporates with brand proposition, marketing strategy and commercial launch success.

To date, Jonathan has delivered over 50 strategic consultancy projects across a wide variety of clients.  He is a Non-Executive Director and retained Coach for several businesses and a retained FMCG expert for MBA programmes at Imperial College Business School, London.
